How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing the other Mutant.
2. When the Mutant dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When the Mutant enters, X-23 triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on X-23 and the other Mutant.
4. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop revolves around Yahenni, Undying Partisan providing a free sacrifice outlet while Isilu, Carrier of Twilight grants your other nontoken creatures persist to keep returning from the graveyard. Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, X-23, Deadly Weapon triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on it, which immediately neutralizes the incoming -1/+1 counter from persist via state-based actions.
