How it works

1. Activate Horn of Gondor by paying 3 and tapping it, creating at least five 1/1 Human Soldier creature tokens.
2. When the Human Soldiers enter the battlefield, Captain of the Mists triggers that many times, untapping itself.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar five times by sacrificing five Human Soldiers, adding 4.
4. Activate Captain of the Mists by paying 1 and tapping it, untapping Horn of Gondor.
5. Repeat.
6. If you control six or more Humans as the combo begins, this combo nets infintie creature tokens, colored mana, and untap of permanents you control.

When you use Horn of Gondor to churn out an army of Human Soldiers, their collective arrival triggers Captain of the Mists to untap itself repeatedly, keeping your wizard ready to reset your artifacts. Meanwhile, Phyrexian Altar is on hand to sacrifice those newly minted soldiers for the exact mana you need to fuel both Horn of Gondor and Captain of the Mists's targeting ability, resulting in a glorious cascade of infinite tokens, mana, and sacrificial power.
