Codie, Vociferous Codex + Thassa's Ire + Agatha of the Vile Cauldron
Codie, Vociferous Codex
Thassa's Ire
Agatha of the Vile Cauldron
Cast a subset of spells in your library
How it works
Activate Codie by paying 1 and tapping it, adding .
Activate Thassa's Ire by paying 3, untapping Codie.
Repeat as desired, skipping step 2 on the final iteration.
Once you have an arbitrarily large number of Codie triggers, cast any spell by paying its mana cost, reduced by the added in step 1.
Codie triggers for each time you activated its ability.
Resolve the first trigger, causing you to exile cards from the top of your library until you exile an instant or sorcery spell with lesser mana value, and allowing you to cast that spell without paying its mana cost.
Repeat step 6 for each remaining trigger.
You may also repeat this combo for each instant and/or sorcery card in your hand as mana permits, and on subsequent turns.
This clever loop relies on Agatha of the Vile Cauldron to slash the activation costs of your creatures based on her power, turning Codie, Vociferous Codex's ability into a bargain. With those reduced costs, you can repeatedly tap Codie for a colorful infusion of mana and use Thassa's Ire to untap him, cycling the process to stockpile a massive chain of delayed cascade triggers. When you finally cast a spell, Codie's accumulated triggers cascade you through your entire library to cast your instants and sorceries for free.
