How it works

1. Activate Farmstead Gleaner by tapping it, adding 1.
2. Badgermole Cub triggers, adding .
3. Activate Farmstead Gleaner by paying 2 and untapping it, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple untap activation into an endlessly growing threat by turning every creature into a mana source thanks to Cryptolith Rite. With that global transformation active, activating Farmstead Gleaner by tapping it not only produces generic mana, but also triggers Badgermole Cub to generously add an extra green mana to your pool. You can then feed that accumulated mana right back into Farmstead Gleaner's $\{2\}$ and untap cost to put another $+1/+1$ counter on it, resetting the loop with a bigger creature and a positive mana exchange.
