How it works

1. Activate Farmstead Gleaner by tapping it, adding 1.
2. Badgermole Cub triggers, adding .
3. Activate Farmstead Gleaner by paying 2 and untapping it, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on transforming Farmstead Gleaner into a self-contained mana dork by enchanting it with Utopia Vow, which grants it the ability to tap for any color of mana. Because Farmstead Gleaner doesn't untap naturally during your untap step, its own activated ability uses the untap symbol to pay for its untapping cost using the mana it generates. Finally, Badgermole Cub provides the critical explosive payoff: its static ability triggers whenever a creature taps for mana, kicking in every time Farmstead Gleaner is tapped to churn out infinite green mana alongside an infinite stream of +1/+1 counters.
