How it works

1. Activate Marvin using The Notary Hobbits' ability by tapping it, adding at least CC.
2. Activate Marvin using Farmstead Gleaner's ability by paying 2 and untapping it, putting a +1/+1 counter on Marvin.
3. Repeat.

This clever setup turns Marvin, Murderous Mimic into a one-robot engine by borrowing the best traits from your board. Thanks to The Notary Hobbits, you have a critical mass of Halflings ready to fuel Marvin's tapped mana-generation ability. Once Marvin taps to produce that colorless mana, it uses Farmstead Gleaner's ability—paid for by the mana just generated—to untap itself while simultaneously growing larger with a +1/+1 counter. Repeating this loop yields infinite colorless mana and infinitely large creatures in formats like Commander and Legacy.
