How it works

1. Put a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak
2. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature token.
4. When the creature token dies, Long Feng triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak.
5. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a creature token.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This elegant loop relies on Scurry Oak's dual nature as both token generator and counter receiver, seamlessly feeding the engine whenever counters are added to it. By sacrificing the resulting Squirrel tokens to Phyrexian Altar, you generate the mana needed to keep the cycle going while sending those tokens to the graveyard. That death is precisely what activates Long Feng, Grand Secretariat, whose static-adjacent trigger rewards the sacrifice by placing a fresh +1/+1 counter right back onto Scurry Oak to restart the whole process.
