How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Cathodion, adding one mana of any color.
2. When Cathodion dies, it and Mortuary trigger.
3. Resolve the Cathodion trigger, adding CCC.
4. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Cathodion on top of your library from your graveyard.
5. Cast Cathodion from the top of your library by paying 3.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a simple mechanical feedback loop into an engine of endless potential. By feeding Cathodion into Phyrexian Altar, you trigger its death ability to generate three colorless mana, which cleanly funds the exact cost to recast it from the top of your library. Mortuary acts as the essential glue here, intercepting the dying automaton and neatly recycling it right back onto the top of your library every single time. Meanwhile, Experimental Frenzy clears away the blindness of drawing cards by letting you cast that looping creature directly from the top, all without ever needing to touch your hand.
