How it works

1. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from Ghave, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a Saproling token, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Saproling token without a +1/+1 counter on it, adding one mana of any color.
4. Repeat from step 2.
