How it works

This ingenious loop turns Norman Osborn // Green Goblin's graveyard cost-reduction into a continuous sacrifice engine, using the backside's goblin formula to cast Ebondeath, Dracolich directly from the graveyard for just two black mana whenever a creature dies. As Ebondeath enters the battlefield, Selvala, Eager Trailblazer triggers to spawn a Mercenary token, providing the fodder needed alongside Ebondeath for Phyrexian Altar to churn out the exact black mana required to repeat the process.
