How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 1.
2. When Whitemane Lion enters the battlefield, it, Angelic Sell-Sword and Arahbo trigger.
3. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Arahbo trigger, creating a 1/1 Cat creature token.
5. Resolve the Angelic Sell-Sword trigger, creating a 1/1 Mercenary creature token.
6. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Cat and Mercenary, adding 1.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple self-bouncing Cat into a bustling army by leveraging the recursive power of Whitemane Lion. Each time the Lion enters the battlefield, Arahbo, the First Fang steps in to spawn a Cat token while Angelic Sell-Sword adds a Mercenary token to the board. You can then feed those generated tokens directly into Phyrexian Altar to recoup the exact mana needed to recast the Lion, sustaining the loop indefinitely.
