How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 1.
2. When Whitemane Lion enters the battlefield, it and Arahbo trigger.
3. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Arahbo trigger, creating two 1/1 Cat creature tokens.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Cats, adding 1.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the constant re-summoning of Whitemane Lion, whose enter-the-battlefield trigger forces you to bounce a creature, neatly targeted right back at itself to reset the process. With Arahbo, the First Fang on the board, every time the Lion arrives, it doubles its token generation while simultaneously pumping your feline army with its static bonus. To multiply this effect exponentially, Elspeth, Storm Slayer steps in with her replacement effect to double those incoming tokens even further. Finally, sacrificing those newly minted tokens to Phyrexian Altar generates the exact mana needed to recast the Lion, funding an endless cycle of sacrifice, death triggers, and storm count.
