How it works

1. Cast Forsaken Miner by paying .
2. When Forsaken Miner enters, Guardian Project triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Forsaken Miner, adding .
4. Resolve the Guardian Project trigger, causing you to draw a card.
5. Lyla triggers, targeting a creature an opponent controls.
6. Forsaken Miner triggers, causing you to pay to return Forsaken Miner from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 2.
8. Resolve all Lyla triggers.

This clever loop starts when you cast Forsaken Miner, which immediately invites Guardian Project to trigger because its name isn't represented on your board or in your graveyard yet. Before that draw resolves, you feed the Miner to Phyrexian Altar to generate the black mana needed to pay for the Miner's own resurrection crime. As Guardian Project resolves and draws you a card, Lyla, Holographic Assistant catches the event to drop a +1/+1 counter on an opponent's creature, all while the Miner happily slips back out of the graveyard to restart the cycle.
