How it works

1. Cast the creature with MV<=1 by paying its mana cost if it doesn't have X in its mana cost, or by paying 1 otherwise, causing the creature to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature, adding 1.
3. When the creature dies, Reyhan triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness.
4. Evolution Witness triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.
