How it works

  1. Cast Servant of the Scale by paying G mana, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Servant of the Scale, adding G mana.
  3. When Servant of the Scale dies, it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness.
  4. Evolution Witness triggers, returning Servant of the Scale from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Repeat.
