How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature that has a +1/+1 counter on it, adding 1.
2. When the creature dies, The Ooze triggers, creating a Mutagen token and a creature token due to Stridehangar Automaton.
3. Activate the Mutagen token by paying 1, tapping and sacrificing it, putting a +1/+1 counter on the creature token.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple sacrifice into an engine of continuous creation, powered entirely by the synergy between The Ooze and Stridehangar Automaton. When you sacrifice a creature bearing a +1/+1 counter to Phyrexian Altar, The Ooze triggers to reward you with Mutagen tokens, which Stridehangar Automaton immediately amplifies by spitting out an extra Thopter token alongside them. You then use the mana generated by the Altar to fuel the freshly minted Mutagen token, placing a +1/+1 counter back onto your newly formed Thopter so the loop can start all over again.
