How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing another nontoken creature without a -1/-1 counter on it.
2. When the creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Solemnity.
3. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
4. Repeat.

With Solemnity quietly sitting on the battlefield to prevent counters from ever being placed, Isilu, Carrier of Twilight grants an endless cycle of recursion by giving your nontoken creatures persist. You can freely sacrifice those creatures to Goblin Bombardment to deal damage, triggering their return to the battlefield without the usual drawback of a -1/-1 counter. Meanwhile, its front face, Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn, helps weave your creature spells together using convoke while you set the stage to unleash this lethal loop.
