How it works

1. Activate the creature with persist by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 3.
2. When the creature dies, Solemnity triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 3, attaching it to the persist creature.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a persist creature and Lotus Ring into an infinite mechanical engine, completely bypassing the drawback that would normally end the chain. With Solemnity on the battlefield, the usual -1/-1 counters simply cannot be placed on your creatures, allowing the persist creature to return to the battlefield fresh every single time it is sacrificed to the Ring's mana ability. Meanwhile, Tannuk, Steadfast Second stands ready to grant haste to any creatures you might bring in alongside the combo, ensuring your newly generated triggers and mana can be put to immediate use.
