How it works

1. Activate Helga by tapping it, adding at least or that can only be spent to cast creature spells with mana value 4 or greater or creature spells with X in their mana cost.
2. Cast Sparkcaster by paying 2.
3. Helga triggers, causing you to draw a card, gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on Helga.
4. When Sparkcaster enters the battlefield, its first and second ability trigger.
5. Resolve the first Sparkcaster trigger, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the second Sparkcaster trigger, dealing 1 damage to any target.
7. Activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Helga.
8. Repeat.

This looping masterpiece centers on Helga, Skittish Seer acting as a specialized mana source whose power steadily grows with every iteration. By casting Sparkcaster, you trigger Helga to draw you a card, gain life, and drop a +1/+1 counter onto herself, which in turn increases the restricted mana she produces. When Sparkcaster hits the battlefield, its own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand so it can be cast over and over again. Mind Over Matter neatly ties the entire engine together by letting you discard a card to untap Helga, immediately resetting her tap ability to fund the next Sparkcaster deployment.
