How it works

  1. Activate Words of War by paying 1, replacing the next card you draw.
  2. Attempt to draw a card, with the draw being replaced by Words of War dealing 2 damage to an opponent.
  3. Niv-Mizzet triggers.
  4. Holding priority, activate a mana-producing permanent by tapping it, adding at least 1.
  5. Activate Words of War by paying 1, replacing the next card you draw.
  6. Resolve the Niv-Mizzet ability, replacing the first card draw with Words of War dealing 2 damage to an opponent, and causing you to draw a card.
  7. Niv-Mizzet triggers, holding priority, activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping a mana-producing permanent.
  8. Repeat from step 4.
