How it works

1. Activate Cabal Coffers by paying 2 and tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Emiel by paying 3, blinking Derevi.
3. When Derevi enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Cabal Coffers.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns Cabal Coffers into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning on the persistent support of Emiel the Blessed and Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. Since Cabal Coffers can generate a massive surge of black mana when you control enough Swamps, you have plenty of fuel to repeatedly pay Emiel's activation cost and blink Derevi in and out of exile. Every time Derevi re-enters the battlefield, its triggered ability untaps Cabal Coffers, readying the land to be tapped again for an ever-growing surplus of black mana.
