How it works
Cast Glasspool Mimic by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
Put Glasspool Mimic into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
Glasspool Mimic's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
Resolve Glasspool Mimic's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
Resolve Glasspool Mimic's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
Repeat from step 2.
This loop turns the legend rule into a lethal weapon by using Opalescence to give our enchantments the creature type they need to crash into the graveyard and trigger each other. When you cast Glasspool Mimic as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up, state-based actions immediately send one to the graveyard, but its death trigger—along with the original Rakdos Joins Up—fires off to blast your opponent. At the same time, the entering copy's own graveyard-return ability triggers, pulling itself right back onto the battlefield with two extra +1/+1 counters to restart the cycle for infinite damage.
