How it works

1. Whenever damage would be dealt to you, Pariah causes that damage to be redirected to the creature it's attached to.
2. Vigor will then prevent the damage and put that many +1/+1 counters on that creature instead.

This delightful defensive lock completely redirects incoming harm away from you and funnels it into raw, unstoppable growth. When you enchant one of your creatures with Pariah, any damage that would normally hit your life total is smoothly intercepted and aimed at that poor soul instead. That is where Vigor steps in to perform its true alchemy, turning what should have been lethal devastation into an absolute boon: it prevents that redirected damage entirely and rewards the creature with an equal number of +1/+1 counters. You are left entirely impervious to damage while your chosen protector grows into a colossal, unstoppable threat.
