How it works

1. Cast Volcano Hellion by paying 2.
2. When Volcano Hellion enters, it triggers, dealing an arbitarily large amount of damage to you and a creature. The damage that would be dealt to you is dealt to Spitemare instead due to Pariah.
3. Spitemare triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to an applicable target.

This loop turns Volcano Hellion's self-destructive entry trigger into a lethal weapon by redirecting the self-inflicted pain directly where you want it. With Pariah safely attached to Spitemare, the damage that Volcano Hellion attempts to deal to you is instead shunted onto Spitemare, completely bypassing your own life total. In turn, Spitemare's triggered ability activates, taking that massive chunk of damage and funneling it straight into an opponent's face to close out the game in one fell swoop.
