How it works

1. Cast Volcano Hellion by paying 2.
2. When Volcano Hellion enters, it triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to Smaug and the creature with Pariah attached.
3. Smaug triggers, creating an amount of Treasure tokens equal to the damage it was dealt.

This explosive loop sets up a clever redirect by enchanting a creature with Pariah, ensuring that any damage dealt to you is instead absorbed by your own monster. When you drop Volcano Hellion onto the battlefield, its enters-the-battlefield trigger targets both you and Smaug the Impenetrable, choosing a massive, life-threatening amount of damage that cannot be prevented. Because of Pariah, the damage directed at you is redirected right back to Smaug the Impenetrable, doubling the pain it receives. This massive noncombat damage triggers Smaug the Impenetrable's ability to flood your board with an arbitrary number of Treasure tokens, funding your mana needs indefinitely.
