How it works

1. Any damage that would be dealt to you is redirected to Cho-Manno due to Pariah.
2. Because of Cho-Manno's effect, no damage will be dealt to it either, preventing the damage entirely.

This classic defensive lock relies on a clever interaction between redirection and damage prevention. By enchanting Cho-Manno, Revolutionary with Pariah, any damage that would normally be dealt to you is instead redirected to your creature. However, because Cho-Manno, Revolutionary has a static ability that prevents all damage that would be dealt to it, the redirected damage is completely negated before it can resolve.
