How it works

1. Cast Sharuum either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 3 plus commander tax if applicable.
2. When Sharuum enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Technomancer.
3. Holding priority, activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Sharuum.
4. Resolve the Sharuum trigger, returning Technomancer from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. When Technomancer enters the battlefield, it triggers.
6. Holding priority, activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Technomancer.
7. Resolve the Technomancer trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Sharuum from your graveyard to the battlefield.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This loop relies on an endless cycle of resurrection between Sharuum the Hegemon and Technomancer, continually pulling each other directly from the graveyard. While these two do the heavy lifting of looping their entry triggers, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine sits on the battlefield waiting to sacrifice them both on command. Shuffling them back and forth through the graveyard in this manner generates an endless stream of sacrifice and entry triggers, conveniently fueling Shilgengar's blood-making engine along the way.
