How it works

1. Activate Deathbringer Thoctar by removing a +1/+1 counter on it, targeting itself, but putting two +1/+1 counters on it due to Vigor.
2. Activate Deathbringer Thoctar by removing a +1/+1 counter on it, dealing 1 damage to any target.
3. Repeat.

This potent loop transforms Deathbringer Thoctar's own firepower into an escalating engine of destruction. By pointing Deathbringer Thoctar's activated ability at itself, Vigor steps in to replace that self-inflicted damage with a flurry of +1/+1 counters instead. Meanwhile, Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist supercharges this growth by adding an extra counter to every batch placed, allowing the whole board to balloon uncontrollably while feeding Deathbringer Thoctar the fuel it needs to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
