How it works

1. Tap Chromatic Orrery for 5 C.
2. Activate Derevi to put it into play and untap Chromatic Orrery with its enter the battlefield trigger.
3. Untap Blasting Station.
4. Sacrifice Derevi to Blasting Station.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant loop turns Chromatic Orrery into a self-sustaining mana engine, thanks to its ability to generate five colorless mana which is filtered into all five colors by its own static color-spending ability. That overflowing mana pays the steep command zone fee to cast Derevi, Empyrial Tactician over and over again, triggering both an untap of the Orrery and Blasting Station's ready-to-fire reset simultaneously. With Blasting Station providing the ultimate sacrifice outlet to ping opponents to zero, Derevi's constant arrivals and departures seamlessly fuel an infinite barrage of damage and creature deaths.
