How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Hardened Academic, Blasting Station and Kitchen Finks trigger.
4. Resolve the Blasting Station trigger, untapping it.
5. Resolve the Hardened Academic trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
6. Resolve the Kitchen Finks trigger, causing you to gain 2 life.
7. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1
8. Repeat.

This looping engine turns a humble life-gaining persist creature into a lethal weapon by capitalizing on the interplay of counters and graveyard triggers. When you sacrifice Kitchen Finks to Blasting Station, its persist ability brings it right back, but the crucial missing link is Hardened Academic: whenever Kitchen Finks leaves the graveyard, Hardened Academic steps in to place a +1/+1 counter on it, which immediately cancels out the incoming -1/-1 counter. This persistent counter-neutralization keeps the loop functioning indefinitely, letting Blasting Station repeatedly fire off damage while stacking up infinite life and triggers.
