How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Moritte of the Frost.
2. When Moritte of the Frost dies, its Persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of River Kelpie with one -1/-1 counter from Persist and +1/+1 counter from its own ability on it.
3. Remove both counters from Moritte of the Frost as a state-based action.
4. When Moritte of the Frost enters the battlefield, it, River Kelpie, and Blasting Station trigger.
5. Resolve the Moritte of the Frost and River Kelpie abilities, causing you to draw two cards.
6. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 4, untapping it.
7. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1, dealing 1 damage to any target.
8. Repeat.

This crafty loop turns River Kelpie into an engine of continuous rebirth by leveraging Moritte of the Frost as a clever, self-countering clone. Because Moritte enters as a copy of River Kelpie while retaining its own unique replacement effect granting two extra +1/+1 counters, state-based actions instantly cancel out the single -1/+1 counter from persist with the incoming positive counters. This leaves the clone fresh and ready to die again to Blasting Station, which dutifully untaps on each entry to repeat the sacrifice. With River Kelpie's own graveyard-entry trigger firing alongside the copy's arrival, you continuously churn through your deck while blasting away at any target.
