How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Metalwork Colossus, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating two artifact tokens due to Bard.
3. Activate Metalwork Colossus by sacrificing the two artifact tokens, returning Metalwork Colossus from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Cast Metalwork Colossus by paying 0.
5. When Metalwork Colossus enters, Blasting Station triggers, untapping Blasting Station.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your own artillery fire into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the replacement effects of Bard, King of Dale, which doubles the Treasure tokens generated whenever Smaug the Impenetrable takes noncombat damage. You begin by using Blasting Station to hurl a point of damage at Smaug, whose indestructible nature ensures it survives to trigger its wealth-generating fury. Those doubled tokens provide precisely the fodder needed to satisfy Metalwork Colossus's graveyard-recovery cost, while the Colossus's massive mana value conveniently reduces its own casting cost down to zero. Every time Metalwork Colossus drops back onto the battlefield for free, Blasting Station triggers to untap itself, ready to sacrifice the giant construct all over again and repeat the cycle infinitely.
