How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Lingering Tormentor
2. When Lingering Tormentor dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Lingering Tormentor enters, Blasting Station and Stalwart Successor trigger.
4. Resolve the Blasting Station trigger, untapping it
5. Resolve the Stalwart Successor trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lingering Tormentor
6. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the natural friction between opposite counters into a lethal engine using Blasting Station as both the firing mechanism and the reload valve. When Lingering Tormentor perishes to the Station's sacrifice cost, its persist ability brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, which instantly triggers Stalwart Successor to drop a +1/+1 counter onto the Tormentor instead. Because this interaction neatly cancels out the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions, Lingering Tormentor remains forever ready to die and persist all over again. Meanwhile, Blasting Station untaps from the creature's entrance every single cycle, ready to fling endless damage at any target you choose.
