How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When the persist creature enters the battlefield, its fabricate ability and Blasting Station trigger.
4. Resolve the persist creature's fabricate trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the Blasting Station trigger from step 3, untapping it.
6. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1, dealing 1 damage to any target.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Cayth, Famed Mechanist into a masterclass of artifact engineering by granting your entire board the fabricate 1 ability, ensuring every creature that enters the battlefield brings fresh material to the table. Blasting Station happily feeds on these arriving bodies to pepper any target with endless damage, while its untap trigger constantly resets itself whenever a new creature makes its entrance. By directing the fabricate trigger to place a +1/+1 counter onto the creature as it returns, you neatly cancel out any incoming -1/-1 counters and keep the sacrifice-and-return cycle spinning infinitely.
