How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Twilight Shepherd.
2. When Twilight Shepherd dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Twilight Shepherd enters, Blasting Station triggers, untapping Blasting Station.
4. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1.
5. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Twilight Shepherd.
6. When Twilight Shepherd dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. When Twilight Shepherd enters, Blasting Station triggers, untapping Blasting Station.
8. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 5.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges on Twilight Shepherd’s fascinating interaction with both kinds of counter mechanics, allowing it to continually cheat death. When you sacrifice Twilight Shepherd to Blasting Station, its persist ability brings it back with a -1/-1 counter, which conveniently cancels out the +1/+1 counter it will receive when Mikaeus, the Unhallowed's undying ability triggers on the subsequent death. Meanwhile, Blasting Station's untap trigger resets the sacrifice outlet every single time Twilight Shepherd enters the battlefield, turning this endless cycle of resurrection into an infinite barrage of damage.
