How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Safehold Elite.
2. When Safehold Elite dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Safehold Elite enters, Blasting Station triggers, untapping Blasting Station.
4. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1.
5. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Safehold Elite.
6. When Safehold Elite dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. When Safehold Elite enters, Blasting Station triggers, untapping Blasting Station.
8. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 5.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop exploits the fascinating interaction between conflicting counters to turn Safehold Elite into an immortal ammunition source for Blasting Station. While Safehold Elite's native persist mechanic normally brings it back with a -1/-1 counter, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed steps in to grant it undying; whenever the counters cancel each other out upon leaving the graveyard, the creature alternates cleanly between persist and undying triggers. Thanks to Mikaeus, the Unhallowed passively pumping up your non-Human creatures and Blasting Station happily untapping itself every time a creature enters the battlefield, you can endlessly sacrifice and recur the same elf to continuously blast your opponents to ash.
