How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Persistent Constrictor.
2. When Persistent Constrictor dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Hardened Academic and Blasting Station trigger.
4. Resolve the Hardened Academic trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Persistent Constrictor.
5. Resolve the Blasting Station trigger, untapping it.
6. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Persistent Constrictor, which perpetually recycles itself thanks to its persist ability, triggering its own death and return cycle. Because it leaves the graveyard to return to the battlefield, Hardened Academic triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on it, effectively neutralizing the -1/-1 counter it arrived with so it can persist again. Meanwhile, Blasting Station harnesses this infinite churn by untapping every time a creature enters and allowing you to sacrifice the Constrictor to deal continuous damage to any target.
