How it works

1. Activate Basalt Monolith's first activated ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
2. Activate Basalt Monolith's last ability by paying 2, untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This delightful engine harnesses the artifact-cost-reducing static ability of Forensic Gadgeteer to turn Basalt Monolith into a self-sustaining mana machine. Normally, untapping the Monolith costs three colorless mana, but the Gadgeteer trims that activation price down to two. Since tapping the Monolith yields three colorless mana and untapping it only requires two, you generate a net profit of one colorless mana with every loop, allowing you to cycle the process infinitely.
