How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Xathrid Demon triggers, causing you to sacrifice Serra Avatar and causing each opponent to lose life equal to Serra Avatar's power.
2. Each opponent loses the game due to having zero or less life.

This delightfully macabre loop lets your life total act as a lethal weapon, turning your own resilience into an opponent's downfall. At the beginning of your upkeep, Xathrid Demon forces you to sacrifice a creature, and because Serra Avatar's power dynamically tracks your life total, the resulting life loss can instantly wipe out the table. Best of all, whenever Serra Avatar heads to the graveyard as a cost, its own replacement trigger immediately shuffles it right back into your library, setting the stage to do it all over again next turn if anyone somehow survives.
