How it works

1. Declare a creature as an attacker. Dawnsire triggers, dealing 100 damage to itself.
2. Dawnsire dies as a state-based action, triggering Resourceful Defense, putting at least twenty charge counters on Darksteel Reactor.
3. Darksteel Reactor triggers, causing you to win the game.

This clever machinery relies on the explosive synergy between Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought and Resourceful Defense to bypass the slow waiting game usually required to win. When you declare Dawnsire as an attacker, its massive power triggers its own destruction by dealing 100 damage to itself, sending it to the graveyard. That death triggers Resourceful Defense, which gracefully catches all those accumulated counters as they leave the battlefield and instantly relocates them onto Darksteel Reactor. Once the reactor holds twenty or more charge counters, its own passive condition fulfills your ultimate victory right at the start of the next phase.
