How it works

1. Cast Yawgmoth by paying 2.
2. When Yawgmoth enters the battlefield, Kor Celebrant and Scurry Oak's evolve ability trigger.
3. Holding priority, activate Yawgmoth by paying 1 life and sacrificing a creature, putting a -1/-1 counter on Scurry Oak and causing you to draw a card.
4. Resolve the Kor Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Resolve the Scurry Oak trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it, triggering Scurry Oak's second ability.
6. Holding priority, activate Yawgmoth by paying 1 life and sacrificing a creature, putting a -1/-1 counter on Scurry Oak and causing you to draw a card.
7. Resolve the Scurry Oak trigger, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
8. When the Squirrel enters the battlefield, Kor Celebrant and Scurry Oak's evolve ability trigger.
9. Repeat from step 4.

This resilient loop is powered by a clever neutralization of +1/+1 and -1/+1 counters: by targeting Scurry Oak with Yawgmoth, Thran Physician’s sacrifice ability, you place a -1/-1 counter that immediately cancels out one of its accumulated +1/+1 counters without permanently killing the Oak.
