How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Moss-Pit Skeleton.
2. When Moss-Pit Skeleton dies, Long Feng and Verdant Succession trigger.
3. Resolve the Long Feng trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control.
4. Moss-Pit Skeleton triggers, putting itself from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for Moss-Pit Skeleton and putting it onto the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
7. Repeat.

This looping engine relies on Verdant Succession to constantly replace your fallen green creatures by fetching a fresh copy straight from your library whenever one dies. To get this cycle moving, Umbral Collar Zealot serves as the sacrificial outlet that neatly puts your creature into the graveyard while letting you surveil along the way. Every time your sacrifice hits the bin, Long Feng, Grand Secretariat triggers to place a crucial +1/+1 counter on a creature you control. That counter placement then satisfies Moss-Pit Skeleton's own recursive trigger from the graveyard, allowing it to hop right back to the top of your library just in time for Verdant Succession to find it and return it to the battlefield.
