How it works

1. Activate the creature with Freed from the Real attached using Nykthos's ability by paying 2 and tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Freed from the Real by paying , untapping the creature.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges on Steward of the Harvest entering the battlefield to exile Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx from your graveyard, granting our creature all of Nykthos's activated abilities—including its potent devotion-fueled mana generation. By enchanting that same Steward of the Harvest with Freed from the Real, you gain access to a cheap untap ability that feeds right back into the engine. Simply use the acquired mana abilities to tap for a surplus, pay blue mana to untap with Freed from the Real, and repeat the process to generate an arbitrary amount of mana.
