How it works

1. Play Izzet Boilerworks.
2. When Izzet Boilerworks enters the battlefield, it and Evolution Sage trigger.
3. Resolve the Izzet Boilerworks trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Evolution Sage trigger, putting a charge counter on Magistrate's Scepter.
5. Repeat from step 1 until Magistrate's Scepter has four or more charge counters on it.
6. Activate Magistrate's Scepter's second ability by tapping it and removing three charge counters from it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
7. Repeat each turn.

This clever loop turns the self-bouncing property of Izzet Boilerworks into a perpetual motion machine for your extra turns. By playing the Boilerworks over and over again—fueled by the extra land drops granted by Azusa, Lost but Seeking—you trigger Evolution Sage's landfall ability repeatedly to stack up charge counters on Magistrate's Scepter. Once the Scepter has enough counters, you simply cash them in to take all the time you need, locking your opponents out of the game entirely.
