How it works

1. Activate Kydele by tapping it, adding at least CCC.
2. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Kydele.
3. Repeat

This elegant loop turns Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix into a self-sustaining mana battery, provided she has already drawn enough cards this turn to generate at least two colorless mana per tap. Because Kydele's ability requires {T}, she normally couldn't untap herself to repeat the process, which is where Voltaic Construct steps in to provide the necessary untap mechanism for just {2}. However, Voltaic Construct can only target artifact creatures—and that's the exact problem solved by Transmogrifying Licid, whose ability turns Kydele into an artifact creature as it enchants another creature. With Kydele now officially an artifact creature, Voltaic Construct can continuously untap her using a portion of the mana she produces, leaving you with an infinite supply of colorless mana to fuel the rest of your game plan.
