How it works

1. Cast Clone by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Clone into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Clone's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Clone's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
5. Resolve Clone's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This looping execution relies on the clever synergy between Clone, Rakdos Joins Up, and Starfield of Nyx to recycle legendary enchantments through the graveyard. When you cast Clone to mimic Rakdos Joins Up, the legend rule instantly sends the copy to your graveyard, triggering its own ability to return itself to the battlefield with extra +1/+1 counters. Because Starfield of Nyx can optionally bring back an enchantment during your upkeep—or simply support the enchantment-heavy nature of the loop—it works alongside Rakdos Joins Up's second ability to repeatedly trigger death damage equal to the dying legendary creature's power.
