How it works

1. Activate all mana-producing nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least 1.
2. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 1.
3. Paradox Engine triggers, untapping all nonland permanents you control.
4. When Whitemane Lion enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
5. Repeat.
6. If nonland permanents you control can tap to produce at least 2, this combo nets infinite mana.

This elegant little loop turns a simple cat into an entire engine of perpetual motion, provided your mana sources can cover the cost. Whenever you cast Whitemane Lion, Paradox Engine triggers to untap all your nonland permanents, refreshing the very rocks and creatures you just tapped. As the Lion resolves, its own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand, ready to be recast endlessly. If your tapped permanents yield enough juice to pay for the Lion and leave a little extra behind, you've got yourself infinite casts, endless untaps, and all the mana your heart desires.
