How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Bishop of Wings' second ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token.
3. When the Spirit token enters the battlefield as an Angel due to Leyline of Transformation, Bishop of Wings' first ability triggers, causing you to gain 4 life.
4. Resolve the Thermopod ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a simple sacrifice engine into an endless well of life and mana by leveraging a bit of creature-type alchemy. With Leyline of Transformation active and set to Angel, every single creature token you generate natively enters the battlefield as an Angel, allowing Bishop of Wings to immediately reward your influx of holy visitors with four life. When you then feed that Spirit token to Thermopod to generate red mana, Bishop of Wings triggers yet again upon its death to replace the fallen creature with a brand-new 1/1 Spirit token. This symbiotic cycle endlessly feeds itself, turning your fallen tokens into a continuous stream of red mana and infinite life.
