How it works

1. Whenever an opponent casts a spell, activate Lullmage Mentor by tapping seven untapped Merfolk, countering that spell.
2. Lullmage Mentor triggers, creating a total of eight 1/1 Merfolk creature tokens.

When you tap seven untapped Merfolk to counter an opponent's spell, the Mentor's triggered ability fires off and would normally reward you with a single Merfolk token, but your board is amplified by the compounding token-doubling effects of Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, and Doubling Season all working in tandem to flood your side with eight fresh Merfolk at once. Since you now control more than enough bodies to immediately pay the seven-Merfolk cost again, you can repeat this process indefinitely to counter every single spell your opponents cast while generating a near-infinite army of tapped tokens.
