How it works

1. Give Boros Reckoner lifelink.
2. Deal damage to Boros Reckoner.
3. Boros Reckoner triggers, dealing that much damage to itself and causing you to gain that much life.
4. Repeat step 4 any number of times.

This clever loop turns Boros Reckoner into an immortal engine of endless life by leveraging the indestructible blessing granted by Shielded by Faith. Because Boros Reckoner takes damage without dying, its own triggered ability allows it to constantly strike itself, endlessly feeding the lifegain you established to secure infinite life. Every time the damage triggers, Shielded by Faith's enter-the-battlefield ability gives you the option to reattach the Aura, though the loop thrives entirely on the creature's innate resilience and reflexive damage pinging.
